About PRSA San Diego Chapter
The chapter was founded in 1959, and has grown to its current membership of approximately 250 members. Members represent a wide range of experience levels, and their practice areas include corporate, agency, government, nonprofit, education, and counseling.
The chapter offers a full range of programs and services, each organized by volunteer committees. These include, but are not limited to, professional development opportunities, a job line, bimonthly member newsletter, public service program, annual awards program, a New Professionals group, social events, APR accreditation program, and liaison to the student chapter at San Diego State University.
The chapter maintains a broad range of professional development activities to strengthen the professionalism of its members. Membership luncheon meetings are held monthly, usually the third Tuesday of the month, featuring a different topic of professional interest.

PRSA firmly believes that professional integrity is based on sound and ethical practice. Upon joining the Society, each member agrees to adhere to PRSA's Code of Professional Standards for the Practice of Public Relations.
